Incentives for Heavy Duty Hybrid Trucks

On December 1, 2009 Conserve Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Environment announced an investment of $1 million towards the purchase of heavy duty hybrid vehicles including bucket trucks and other fleet vehicles.

Conserve Nova Scotia will administer this program, and it is expected that these incentives will become available by Spring 2010. Program details will be available at that time, along with application forms.

Incentives will be provided to help cover the incremental cost of the hybrid technology on heavy duty trucks, such as bucket trucks. Those interested may apply via an application form. Funds will be available for the installed cost of pre-approved equipment. Incentives will not be available retroactively.
