Energy Efficient Furnace Incentive Program

Please Note: To qualify for the Energy Efficient Furnace Initiative, furnaces had to be installed between September 10, 2008 and September 11, 2009.  Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2010.

New furnaces can save up to 25 per cent, or about $750, on home-heating bills annually. If you are thinking about replacing your old furnace with a more energy-efficient model, the Energy Efficient Furnace Incentive program might provide the encouragement you need.

The incentive is available for Nova Scotians who replace old furnaces with qualifying new, ENERGY STAR-rated oil-fired models. Through the program, homeowners can receive a $500 rebate.
