Ann Janega is the Vice President of the Nova Scotia Division of the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME).
CME is Canada's oldest industry association representing the sector that accounts for 17% of Canada's economy.
Ann is a native Nova Scotian lawyer and business advocate with experience in provincial government, the private sector and university life.
She has previously held the positions of Publisher of Progress Research & Discovery magazine, Director of Community and Public Affairs at Dalhousie University, Executive Officer for the Nova Scotia Home Builders' Association, Deputy Minister of Small Business; Deputy Minister of Municipal Affairs for Nova Scotia; and General Manager of the Better Business Bureau of Nova Scotia.
Ann Janega's work experience includes many projects and priorities that relate to energy efficiency and energy conservation.
In 1990 she was appointed as an original member of the Premier's Roundtable on Environment and the Economy.
In addition to her business and legal training, Ann was awarded a Masters in Electronic Commerce from Dalhousie in 2003.
Ann has been active in her community and in Nova Scotia through her involvement on the provincial board of the Abilities Foundation of Nova Scotia, and the Manning Innovation Awards committee for the Atlantic Region.
