Alasdair Sinclair is an economist who taught at Dalhousie for 33 years.
In later years his focus was on development economics.
He has worked in 11 countries with the World Bank, and participated in University and CIDA development programs in about a dozen other countries.
His latest assignment was in 2005 in Bolivia as a volunteer for 4 months with CESO.
His interest in energy efficiency comes naturally to him as an economist, especially in the context of global warming and the eventual shortage of non-renewable energy resources.
As a member of AEC he has a special concern for the impact of energy costs on low income users, where efficiency in energy production and use can have an immediate positive impact.
